Take your study Bible to Church!

Take your study Bible to Church, and even arrive ready to worship!

Our pastor has spent years impressing the fact that we need to bring our study Bibles to Church. He does not want to “Feed us a dose of Sunday Churching”, but rather teach us the word of God and how to study. It is very logical to bring your study Bible to Church so that you can make notes and underline key passages that hit home.

He felt so strongly that for a long time, he would not even have the Bible verses posted on the overhead, so that people would have to have to use their study Bibles. Some members were able to convince him that new members and visitors would have a tougher time following along. So he went back to posting the verses on the overheads, but still encouraging the congregation to bring their study Bibles.

Most of our congregation is using some type of Bible Cover to help with keeping their Bible clean and organized in church. The organizer Bible covers seem to help when they have pen holders and places to hold note pads. Some of the women and girls even use a small Bible Cover pack. They can double as a purse and a Bible Organizer.

The key is to eliminate blocks to your study habits. When we run out to Church the household is trying to get dressed and get to the Church on time. Having our Bibles ready to go helps with lowering the stress level. Having our Bibles in Bible Covers or in a Bible Cover purse also helps us arrive at Church ready to worship rather than bicker about who caused us to be late.

See ya Sunday…Ti
